2007년에 어머니가 암투병중 제가 좋아하던 야니 곡중 in the morning light 를 병원에서도 더이상 손을 쓸수 없어서 집에서 모시면서 조금이나마 편안 하시라고 매일 틀어드리고 아들이 좋아하는 음악이라 어머니도 매일 틀어달라고 하셨습니다. 그렇게 어머니를 하늘나라로 보내고나서 15년이 지나서야 오늘 처음으로 다시 듣게 되네요. 반주만 나와도 하늘같이 높고 바다같이 넓은 마음을 가지신 어머니 생각에 너무 그립고 보고싶어서 들을 엄두가 안났습니다. 지금은 너무 보고싶지만 시간이 흘러 지금은 그때의 일을 회상하며 촉촉해지는 눈으로 생각에 잠깁니다.

My mom played this at night as I went to bed. I associate this song with the wonderful childhood I had and the love I received every day.

Soo beautiful... I have had his c.d. for over 15 years and I'm not sure who gave it to me...I think my beautiful mother, who passed away 3 years ago..I danced to his beautiful music and have started to again at the age of 66 years young. 2020 and this song reminds me of my mum when she battled cancer. She is gone now but this brings a soothing memory to reflect on how she still inspires me to this day. Cherish the time with your loved ones all x

This song takes me back to the suicide of my dad. My dad killed himself almost 20 years ago I was 12 when he died. Not sure why but i think this song was just played a lot around the house during that time in my life so I associate this song to him. At least its pretty. If I lay here and listen to it the tears start and they don't stop I will forever miss you and wonder what you would be like now. You missed out on so many things and I hope you are proud of me dad. Love you miss you until I see you again.

This song was introduced to me from my Uncle who sadly passed away a few years ago.
It carried us through the hard times and after 2 years, I lost my Mum to cancer.
To this day it brings me sadness but also a nostalgic sense of peace.
It calms me, pains me and tears me up inside.
Yanni, you truly are a timeless inspiration. Stay strong all x

My dad used to play this during long drives outside Manila when I was a kid. I didn’t know what song it was until 2 years ago when I heard it on my wife’s Pandora. My dad passed away a few days ago on Monday July 22nd 2024 at 8:37pm. I love you dad.
