Being from Norcal I can agree that Richmond is one of the sketchiest places I've been in the state. I'm from the Bay and I try to avoid Richmond like the plague. Personally I want to leave the state of CA as the tuition prices are skyrocketing, the environment of Southern California is falling apart, and the cost of living is astronomically high. Sucks seeing that there are so many gorgeous places in CA like Truckee, Pismo Beach, Ventura, Mt Patterson, Clearlake, etcetera.

I was born in Berkeley ca. loved it as a kid in the 70's. as with every place it changed. bay area overrated sky high rent and real estate. very few resources for people who do not make 30 dollars an hr or in high tech.

I like in Truckee Ca, beautiful place and nice people that live here. However, on the weekends and summer/holiday periods, the people from the Bay come here and we are happy to see them and have them spend their money and happier when they go home.

I left San B for Texas and I can not tell you how much my life has I think a lot of people think that if you live in CA your life is great. uh hello cupcakes dont be late for your birth NOT TRUE. there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in CA unless you are a wealthy person. Do better for yourself and seek other opportunities

I was checking out trains in BNSF on the Cajon Sub near the Metrolink Station two weeks ago on YouTube. I saw at least two Metrolink's and several BNSF's and two Union Pacific's, but what interested me more was that near the end of the video as a BNSF approached I saw something small and black moving along the ground in front of the depot facing east. It almost looked like someone's toupee. I'm not positive but I thought that "thing" almost looked like the "tumbleweave" you mentioned in the San Bernardino segment of 10 Worst Cities in California.

L. A. Is over crowded and has bad traffic all day. Please, don't move to LA county we are full to capacity and land developers still building apartments and town homes with no parking available.

Comment re the San Bernardino chapter: you'll also find plenty of tumbleweeds on Highway 99. I can show you the scratch marks on my car's grille.
