Thank you so much for this video. I was diagnosed on 2014 (GHSV2), was in a relationship at the time but that ended in 2017. I have not even tried to date in the past 6 yrs. I have had women show interest in me but I intentionally avoid asking them out. What you are saying makes 100% sense, dating is a numbers game Herpes or not.

Hi I appreciate your bravery. My partner has HSV-1 he told me right away and I'm still with him we're going on 4 years. I love him so much and I know the risk. And of course I was afraid I think of the what ifs especially when you read things like what it could do if it go to your brain or goes to your eyes and causes problems. But it's still worth it to me. And I just hope and pray every night that nothing. Cuz there's millions of people that live normal lives and never have anything happen. And you just got to hope and pray that you're one of those people

I have hsv 1 (aka cold sores), and it's stressful. Im scared of dating and/or giving someone my horrible disease! This video was definitely helpful. I feel disgusted and suffer from depression, suicidal thoughts, and anxiety, part of the reasons being having oral herpes!

I think that's the main point. It's true. It's a filter. If they didn't like you they will realize it then more consciously. If they like you then it can still be bad news but it will be a risk they will find worth taking. For someone of a monogamous mindset, it's not as much a problem - because there is no desire to go on to the next person, and have a future dating life to make more difficult.

Its hard tho bc it's a reason to reject you that isn't your fault. It's just harder. Makes you stronger (bc u will have to be better than your clean rivals)or breaks you, one or the other.
