CLASSROOM SET UP 2023! Day 1 & 2

In today's video, I share my 3rd-grade classroom setup for days 1 and 2! It feels so good to finally be in my classroom, which I have dreamed about for many years. Your closet is AWESOME!! I have taught 30+ years, and I have never had a closet that big before!! One word of advice, get rid of the college stuff! Especially any materials not aligned with Science of Reading. I hope you have a great year!

Have you thought of putting your white library shelf angled in the corner and then the dark shelves 1 on each side? It gives the feeling of pulling them in to read a good book and doesn’t look like it would take up any more space than you are using already

looks great! Series ofunfortunate events is great for 3rd and up! I would make sure your district hasn't banned Harry Potter before putting it out. Some schools are picky about it.

When I was in elementary school in the 1970s I remember forgetting my spelling book three days in my locker and the teacher caught me and took me to the hallway and I got paddled in the third grade.😅😊

Last year our school was having trouble keeping series of unfortunate events on the shelf bc kids in 3rd and 4th were all reading them and talking about them.
