I been in the US since 2006, and I'm still having my strong Spanish accent. It has caused me lots of troubles even if I live in a border town, I been told to go back to Mexico, I blame it on not getting hired even though I have a college degree, I get nervous on interviews so it comes out thick. Thanks for the class, I was considering giving up on teaching

Thank you guys it’s a really nice video. In my school nobody focused on pronunciation, I learnt gramma and vocabulary/comprehension, but now I realized that one of the hardest task in English for me is pronunciation.

Great stream! I enjoyed watching it.
I have been studying English for 2.5 years so far. And one of my favorite things is pronunciation. I got bored with grammar after half a year of my studying...
Probably, the biggest tip I can give you is to listen or to watch to as many native speakers as you can. We live in such a great time and many of us have internet connection at home. Why don't we use it to learn a new language? There are plenty of native speakers filming their everyday life on youtube like Jesse Wellen, Casey Neistat or even Jake Paul(if you know other let me know in the comments below). Moreover, you can combine whatever you like doing and learning process itself. You can watch your favorite tv shows, listen to music and keep up grinding.
About that "literally" word; first I heard it was from a native American speaker, so I never had any problems with that, though a lot of people find it quite challenging. However, I cannot say the same about the words I had been pronuncing wrong before I started working on my accent. The key thing is the first time you hear the word, otherwise I will have to change your habits eventually. So, don't waste your time and if you have no clue how to pronounce a word, you'd better use an online dictionary like Cambridge dictionary; they have both British and American recorded audio; or ask Siri to spell and pronounce the word.
I didn't expect that my comment would be that long. If you are still reading it I hope you got something useful for you as well. It's just my experience. Btw, hello from Ukraine :)

Never call call centers just to practice English with them. If you do so, you will probably end up being fluent in Hindi

Hi Marina, I am from China and I have been watching your videos for a couple of months. I like the information you shared in your videos (e.g British vs America, motivation and effectiveness etc) . Moreover, the 4 tips of learning English is great and your accent is also beautiful. I am preparing for the IELTS exam. I just wanna know if you have took the IELTS before ? If you would make some IELTS related videos in the future ?
