Californians report waiting weeks, months for packages in the mail

People are waiting for weeks to get packages they order or were being delivered by the U.S. Postal Service. KCRA 3 Investigates which delivery service is facing delays. Get the full story in the video above.

I had a company send me something "Priority Mail" recently from somewhere in Washington. First entry in the tracking
number said it was in Portland, OR, then up to somewhere in Washington. It was going north when Sacramento is SOUTH
of Portland. Then the tracking number went "dead" for 5 days and then all of a sudden the package showed up at my
residence. The Postal Service is really messing things up lately !!!

The problem is USPS has limited employees. UPS sends them volume everyday. UPS has been caught up since July and last week they let go of all their PVD drivers.

Why do you think they call it snail mail? If you want something overnight, use UPS or FedEx. That's what you get when you're trying to save a few bucks.

You are lying! If you sent a parcel ground through the USPS- meaning parcel post they would not have given you a specific delivery date. It would have been a broad range. If you sent it priority, they still wouldn’t have given you a definite day of delivery. Usps doesn’t guarantee any delivery except express mail. Awfully dishonest for a supposed new agency.

Should be no reason for this...Canada, package from west coast to rural Ontario-3 days during the pandemic.
