Only These Dogs Could Defeat a Pitbull

Nowadays “pit bull” is a term used to describe many breeds such as American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, American Bully, or even mixes between them… However, the American Pitbull Terrier is the real Pitbull who was bred specifically for dog-fighting. Also called A.P.B.T or game dogs, they are average-sized but very muscular and light... their bite force reaches up to 250 psi and they are very agile. The main characteristics are their endurance, willingness to fight, and ability to never give up. In the last centuries, the breeders of game dogs have selectively bred these features from the individuals who have had them the most emphasized.
Dogs like the Great Dane, Saint Bernard or English Mastiff, even though they are bigger, they just wouldn’t stand a chance against a pitbull. However, there are some breeds that can challenge a pitbull!

I read about a borzoi "russian wolf hunting dog" killing a pitbull that was going after his owner and her children, I think there are other breeds that could that aren't on the list.

I'm surprised that they left out the Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasilero, Presa Canario, Wolf dog or even the Tibetan mastiff.

As the comment from C7 Miller says, it's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. I had a 25 lb fuzzy terrier mix when I was young, and when a 60 lb pit bull made a threatening move toward me, the terrier attacked, maintaining a running battle for over 15 minutes, ending when both dogs fell into a creek. The terrier was soaked in blood, with his black and white coat deep red, and we were sure he was done, but after a bath, we discovered only a couple of small gashes, with nearly all the blood coming from the pit bull. Later in life, when the terrier was blind, a German shepherd made the mistake of attacking him, and the terrier maneuvered under the bigger dog, slashing away until the frantic shepherd managed to leap away from the old dog. That little dog hated other dogs that bit children, and quite a few learned not to bother us when Kris was around.

Even though there are dogs of these breeds that do have the potential to defeat an American Pitbull, based on the evidence, none of these breeds have been proven to be tougher, more game, or more respected/popular in combat sports than the American Pitbull on average. That is not to say none of these breeds are tough and cannot be used for things like wild boar baiting or dog combat, but which of these breeds are the ones the vast majority of people involved in these sports use? It is the American Pitbull for a reason. There are breeds in this list that do have higher bite force and are larger, but that does not equate to ability in combat sports. And thing is, the American Pitbull is stronger than most of the breeds in this list as well. Think about how people have measured strength in dogs. There is a very popular strength sport called weight pulling that pretty much every breed in this video can be seen used for. Do you know one of the most popular breeds for that sport is? It's the American Pitbull. So just because the majority of people chose and use American Pitbulls for the sport does not automatically make them stronger, but let me ask this. How many of these breeds can be seen pulling over 12, 000 pounds or two trucks at once with people on those trucks like American Pitbulls can be seen doing in videos like *COLDRIVERKENNELS - " VERSACE EDITION"- PULLING 12, 170LBS & SETTING A NEW UKC RECORD!

I'm not blaming the uploader, because this is a very common occurrence. There are many lists of strongest or toughest breeds and whatnot where dogs get placed highly with little to no real evidence showing how strong or tough they are.

There’s a difference in Bobby’s pitbull down the street that your Rottweiler whooped, and slumlord kingpens game bred Pitt that fights for 100, 000$ GAMEBRED pitts are unstoppable. That’s why they are used in the pit by literally everyone, if anyother breed were this dominant they would be used.

Well, I can relay a story. I had one in my 20s that was a nice dog and his best friend was a very small mix breed. He loved that little dog but hated any animal bigger than himself which concerned me. Out hunting one day with both dogs and a large steer charged the little dog. The pittie attacked that steer to the throat was was thrown free when it hit a post when the steer went in circles. He only let go long enough to come back under it and attack again. The steer couldn't shake him. I pulled him off by the collar and took him and had him put down. The vet came out and checked the steer and said it nearly died of exhaustion but did survive. He also wanted to attack horses and I just couldn't have it. The little dog obviously missed him for the longest time. Sorry for the length.

Listen I'm 52yrs of age been involved with Game Bred Pitbulls for 45 plus year's my family own them and I never lost the Love for them . I'm saying this NO DOG WILL TAKE A GAME BRED PITBULL other than another PITBULL. I seen alot in my year's and never seen a off Breed do nothing but quite after a few minutes, and most looked ok for the moment but after 4 or 5 minutes most not that long would start looking for q singing career or start jumping walls .That was.45 plus year's ago, although a well Bred PITBULL was the best then as he or.she is now!!!!
