Garron. As an Australian, the only way to consume Vegemite is on a piece of hot buttered toast. Spread sparingly. Any other attempt at consumption will end in failure. Unless you're born here. In which case some of us eat it out of the jar. Well, I do...lol

Aussie here, Garron, Vegemite is not to be eaten, it is used as a Drop Bear deterrent. You put a thick layer behind each ear and the carnivorous form of the koala doesn't attack out of the gum trees.

I brought vegemite to my classroom to have students try (American, students with autism, and completely voluntary). We discovered that the best way to eat it, by far, was spread sparingly on toasted, buttered bread. Something about that combination made it completely palatable.

The lack of proper BBQ Shapes, as opposed to those appalling "Meat Pie" Shapes, hurts my heart. Shapes have been let down 😭

Finally someone outside the country appreciates the majesty of Tim Tams.

And my deepest sympathies regarding the vegemite. So many people treat it like peanut butter or jam and just have waaay too much. For your first go you have it on bread with a LOT of butter and only a very VERY thin layer of vegemite on the top. You want to not be able to see the bread through the butter and you should be able to see the butter through the vegemite. But honestly it's an acquired taste even over here. I much prefer peanut butter or nutella or honey any day of the week.

Tip: when performing a Tim Tam slam, just take a small bite from one corner at each end (diagonally opposite). It makes it a much easier and tidier experience. 😉👍

Milo (My-low) is a malted chocolate powder we mix in milk to make a drink. It is lovely.
You put more Vegemite on that little chip than I put on a whole slice of heavily buttered toast! It is basically seasoning for butter.

I've never seen the meat pie shapes but given that the label says they taste like Four and Twenty pies, which are the absolute bottom of the barrel cheapest pies around, you nailed it completely with your description! BBQ shapes or Chicken Crimpy for the win!!
