PART SIX: Turns, Figures 8s and U-Turns | Turning at Low Speed. In this video, Luke explains how to change directions and turn your automatic motorcycle at low speed with maximum control. Does your bike wobble when you turn? Do you feel unbalanced when turning? Can you steer accurately and with precision? Do you feel you need to stick your knees, legs and feet out when turning on a motorcycle? Do you feel tense when turning? Well, this video will solve these problems. Luke will explain and demonstrate how to turn your scooter at low speed and shift direction like a pro!
Luke also explains how to use the rear brake to control the speed and the throttle to keep the bike steady and upright. Luke explains what to do with your hands, wrists, arms, elbows, shoulders, eyes, chin and head when turning your motor scooter. The key focus of this lesson is teaching the beginner how to control your Vespa's momentum by utilising the rider's upper body, the handlebars, the front wheel and the lean of the bike. The key is to use the POWER to keep the bike energy output HIGH and the REAR BRAKE to control the speed of movement.
