I love how you have to enter the Konami code to exit kid mode. No kid will know it, and many adults already know it by heart.

You mentioned that this was an Arcade only machine so you went in and edited the gamelist in the Arcade folder. If you have a machine with multiple systems (MAME, NES, SNES, Genesis, etc.) is there a faster, more efficient way than replicating this process individually within each system's folder? Is there an "All Games" list somewhere to copy and edit? Thanks!

Great info, thanks! Does this also eliminate the ability to enter the MAME service menu? That is one of the things I’m worried about kids accidentally hitting R2 button or whatever for an arcade game and entering the MAME menu and changing controller mappings, dipswitch settings, etc.

Great info..also since there are so many games that I don't want to play what would be
the best way to add or remove games from the Favorites list ??

Hello.
I thought I'd post here to maybe help anyone watching the video and looking for the same info I was.
I wanted to hide the RetroPie menu in Kiosk mode. I saw it was hidden in Kids Mode. which is what lead me here.
I thought there must be a way to apply this to Kiosk mode.
After way way to long, searching. I found the answer.
It was too simple for how long it took me to figure out. >_>;

Go into the settings. and set each option in the list to "Hidden" through the "Edit this game's metadata", just like you would for a game.
It doesn't show in Kids Mode because none of those are on the Whitelist.

This video is still useful though. thanks.
