Senator Van Hollen should have run for president instead of Trump. Why are the rejects/bad apples running?😢

My only question, Senator, is: Why the thousands, present at that day, some of which broke the law, many of whom did not, are all treated the same way? This by it self is a threat to Democracy... It speaks Totalitarianism...
With all Duo Respect Senator, separating people in to Good and Bad is what democracy tried to solve, yet from the few who still try to keep the sovereignty of it are giving up from all the pressure of "Be red or Blue"

You sent me an email to vote for you really? You were the one who sent us an email crying about poor Omar that Trump told her if she is not happy in America she could go to her home country, but you never and again never criticize her for her antisemite rhetoric. Since she said her antisemite rhetoric the antisemitism risen both on the left and far right. She should talk how much money did she get from Qatar? A 10 years old Jewish boy walked home from school in NYC was sounded by 10 guys who beat him him, did you hear about that? Of course not you are too busy worry about Omar’s feelings. So no I won’t vote for you I am a Republican now.

Dear Senator Van Hollen,

I just listened to your speech on the Senate floor. It was concise, pointed, and devastatingly clear. Quite frankly, I don't know how any Senator, Congressman, or American citizen could possibly deny the validity of your argument and still consider themselves supporters of our democratic process. I am angry ... I am angry because all of my life I have admired and fully supported the brilliant principles that our founding fathers so carefully laid out in our Constitution. Yet in recent years, I have seen many of those principles become twisted, corrupted, and blatantly ignored to serve those who care more about themselves and their individual agendas than the sanctity of our democracy. They need to realize that they are dismantling this country - and the world is watching.

The division in our country has done more than create gridlock in our governmental institutions - it has weakened us. In this 21st century, with the world more interconnected than ever before, our enemies and allies alike are watching our every action in real-time. What they are seeing, in my view, is Nero fiddling while Rome burns. We would do well to remember that our allies will only remain our allies if they have full faith in us; and that our enemies will take every opportunity to exploit our vulnerabilities. We would also do well to remember Lincoln's words that "A house divided cannot stand, " especially in this global context.

Thank you for continuing to fight for what is right and what is necessary to preserve our nation.
