I just finished this Film and I understand why it received a 4 minute standing ovation. Incredibly powerful. The cinematography is breathtaking. These brave souls. They persevered. And I pray that this film will cause people to be kind and compassionate to refugees. They are human beings and should be treated with dignity 🙏❤️

The trailer already made me and my sister shed a tear. And we just saw the movie earlier. It made us weep.. such a beautiful story about the struggle of being a refugee, trying their very best to find a better life, and how cruel the world could be. Amazing story, 10/10!!!

I loved this so much I watched it twice, the second time with my daughter to give her a better understanding of life in a war-torn country and as a refugee. We only see snippets on the news, we don't know the hundreds and thousands of stories behind the faces, each with their own hopes, dreams and yearnings for a secure place to call home. I thank God everyday I live in a safe country, (Canada), though this story could happen to any of us at any given moment. There are no guarantees and we should not take any of it for granted. This by far is the best movie of 2022 IMHO...well done! 👏❣

One of the best movies I’ve ever seen on Netflix. The swim in the ending embodied everything she went through. What her country went through. She wasn’t just swimming for herself but for her country literally. All the odds were against her in every way and to see her win meant everything to me. What a movie!!!!

Made me cry…. Amazing movie. Honestly what some refugees have been though, no normal person could handle so sad to see them being criticised daily… this really opened my eyes. No person would want to flee there home unless there where in real danger 😢

I can't wait to see this movie! The book "Butterfly" which this movie is based on was amazing! It was one of the best I've ever read and I've read a lot, haha. I couldn't put it down! Yusra and Sara are inspirations to me! and it's great to see what they are doing to help/bring awareness to refugees and things like that!
