Sometimes, by ignoring people, we do ourselves a great favor. Moreover, I’d say that ignoring people from time to time is necessary to keep our sanity in a world that constantly tries to grasp our attention.

The longer I am alive, the more I am sure that when someone contacts me, most of the time they want something from me.

Something I learned in therapy was “do not set yourself on fire to keep others warm.” This helped me realize it’s okay to ignore the demanding nature of people around us whether its friends, family or coworkers. You do not owe anyone your sanity.

Being selective about choosing friends is possibly the most important thing you can do for yourself.

By ignoring all commercials by ppl trying to sell me something I save a lot of money.
By ignoring the daily news I save my sanity.
By ignoring/not engaging with toxic ppl I save my energy.
By ignoring inane tv shows I save time.

I tried Facebook for a short time and quickly realized how shallow and narcissistic it is. I dropped it, and all other social media (except YouTube for learning), and am happier without it.

There comes so much peace with ignore stuff. Other peoples drama: ignore. People acting bad towards you: ignore.
Give your energy to stuff that actually matter. Not every invite to chaos needs to be accepted.

Im so lucky to have a father who always told me you dont need to be with people to be happy, you can be alone and be happy, and that taught me to ignore the many opinions of people

People .. are taxing & draining at best. What they fail to get is “ You don’t have to have an opinion about everything - keep it to urself “ ..

Don’t allow anyone make you feel obliged to give them attention, remember, it’s always your prerogative.

At work, I ignore everyone now, unless they’re contacting me for work related reasons. I used to be the one who initiated a “hello”, but people’s inability to recognize personal boundaries or say things with meaning has completely turned me off. Now there aren’t any “hello’s” or meaningful questions because they don’t do it. Goes to show how one-sided things were and how coworkers took me for granted. Work has actually become more enjoyable now that I’ve eliminated the fakers and ones with alternative motives.

You don't have to be friend with anyone, everybody doesn't have to love or like you learn to be with yourself and love yourself

solitude topic videos are my favorite. Embracing solitude throughout the day really helped me. So many external influences are constantly bombarding us.

It works until you ignore the ones that give a damn. Descerning who to ignore is paramount.

I am much happier now that I ignore low vibrational people. Being alone is better than bad company.

October 2023 I celebrated 12 years of not owning a television (telling lies to your vision, they call it programming for a reason). So for over 12 years I have not subjected MYSELF to "mainstream/mockingbird" media.

Summer 2020 I did a social media detox and following that detox I deleted ALL my social media accounts. I have no online presence.

May 2024 will mark 5 years since I have been in a romantic relationship. I am choosing to be on my own to pursue my Spiritual path. I enjoy the solitude, I welcome the peace it brings to my life.

I do not pay a cable bill because I do not own a TV. I do not pay an internet bill because I do not own a computer. And I chose not to have WIFI at my house, I have no need for it.

I enjoy living a simple life and I am happy.
