Just so you know empire of the vampire is definitely not a romance. It's got a tiny sliver of romance but it's grimdark high fantasy. One of my favourite books of all time ever it's so good if you like that sort of thing 😊

I can’t believe you haven’t read any ve schwab! The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is fantastic. And I usually can’t stand audio books but it was a really good one esp with the french phrases in it.
