Spider-Man Web of Shadows is a 2008 action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man. Spider-Man Web of Shadows is a third person action-adventure video game, set in an open-world Manhattan largely focused on combat. The gameplay is very similar to that of previous Spider-Man titles. Players control Spider-Man and can web swing, web zip, crawl walls, and use the 'spider-sense' to identify and lock onto enemies. The combat has been significantly improved compared to previous games, with players now able to fight enemies not only on the ground, but also on walls and in the air. The player is able to switch between Spider-Man's traditional red and blue suit and the black symbiote suit at any time during gameplay. Each suit provides a different gameplay style, and features individual upgrades.

That opening cutscene sets the stage perfectly for what kind of spidey this is. He’s a more grizzled, battle-hardened spidey who has seen some stuff and is no longer a “friendly neighborhood spider man” but the symbiote has had a big enough impact to change him.

I remember at the time I begged my father for a game "with black suit spiderman" And he brought me home this.
Never enjoyed a game that much, the combat, once you max everything it's really appealing
The story, even though I was I kid I didn't followed it well was still amazing
The design, venom and Symbiont wolverine scared me as hell, everything was incredible at the time
A remastered versions would be incredible.

Everyone says that spiderman 2 was how they first started and was their favorite, never had the glory to play it as a kid, but I do remember this being a masterpiece when I played it. Definitely the most memorable along side spiderman shattered dimensions, and the amazing spierman games. Web of shadows really made the best memories.

This game is timeless. It's still the best combat in any open world super hero game I've ever played. Still one of my favorite games ever. I remember running home to play this. It was such a good story and I was invested 100%. This needs to remastered and resold. It would make a killing!

I really loved this game. I remember the reviews for this game were very poor, but IMO it was my favorite Spiderman game at that point in time. I think IGN gave it a 5, easily 8.5-9 for me.

Arguably the greatest Spidey game I've never played. I didn't hear about this until 2011 when I was hooked on Super Street Fighter IV, Madden, and Assassin's Creed.

The combo attacks in this game are still the best. I don't think any game had fun wall combat, ground, and air like this. even the new spidey game doesn't have wall combat except the last doc ock battle.
