The Interceptor Barricade has arrived. Watch our team bring our latest Interceptor to life in the Rio Las Vacas, Guatemala, as we set up for a second attempt to prevent thousands of tons of trash flowing into the Caribbean Sea.

You’ll hear from members of The Ocean Cleanup crew, as well as our partners on the ground in Guatemala City, speaking about the disappointment of coming so close in 2022 and how we’ve made improvements this year - and sharing their high hopes and excitement ahead of the Interceptor Barricade’s first real-world trial.

Thank you for all your efforts. I lived in Guatemala City for 10 years when I was a kid. Seeing the clean up just fills me with hope for the future there.

I'm eager to see the results of all the hard work. The only solution is to attack the problem at as many levels as possible.
But the most important of all is to actually do something about the problem and not just hold meetings and raise funds. Talk is cheap. Action speaks!
