Plane the Club Face with the Lead Hand

The lead hand is the club face. If you improperly place the Lead hand, it can hinder your entire golf swing. That is why you must place the lead hand correctly on the club to ensure that you can square the face at impact to hit perfectly straight golf shots.

In this video, I take off the gloves to show you how the lead hand and lead arm rotate and hinge during the swing. When you perfect this movement, you can swing hard and square the face consistently.

About the Single Plane Golf Swing:

The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.

Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.

This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.

The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

I’ve never heard Todd curse before. You can tell he is tired of arguing this with people. 😭

I love this. However, that's a LOT to think about! Which I do NOT want to do when I'm golfing. I feel like I'm gonna have to hit as many balls as Moe's, so I can do the mechanics without thinking!

Hello, I really enjoyed your videos but due to YouTube's blatant political censorship, I have cancelled my ad-free membership and will be unsubscribing from all channels. Free Speech must be allowed without political bias. Very sorry.

This is what I have been struggling with and you answered almost all of it. I love the detail and specifics.

An additional video to this, though, would be what does the left hand do after ball contact. Make a video like this, that is specific to lead hand but what happens after contact.

Thanks

Not a member yet. Just devouring your content. Took it to the course. Bombed a drive about 20 yards past my longest on that yard. It felt like what I see u do. It was effortless.

But thing is, nobody on tour doesn't swing like that. Maybe Bryson? But he doesnt set up like that neither

Your training aides are making a big difference in my game. I just had the best game of my life 2 days ago and heading to the driving range with my training aides today

Hi Todd. I’ve been watching most of your videos for the past 4 months. Every day going to the range practicing and videoing. The change to single plane has been a lot work but worth it. I’m fully committed. I’m getting there. I’m enjoying the game more as it’s not as complicated. This video makes total sense. You have explained it with a common sense approach on how the body moves. Thanks. Roger

Every aspect of the swing has its role to play and learning them perfectly requires perfect practice. The fact that this swing is the easiest, least complicated and most efficient way to strike a golf ball makes it the best. My 5th year of the GGA SPS and I score 75 to 85 with no back pain anymore and can now "retire" golf balls instead of losing them. Thanks Todd.
