I take issue with Chris Beachum’s comment about nobody watched “7 Seconds”

- I binge watched “7 Seconds” the weekend it premiered on Netflix, because of Regina King and so did my friends, family and coworkers.
- I also watched “Roma”, first at the theatre and then again when it premiered on Netflix. Marina de Tavira’s Best Supporting Actress nomination was not a surprise to me.

Maybe it’s a “Black thing” or a “Latino thing” or just maybe “Gold Derby” needs MORE representation of Blacks and Latinos on these panels. Daniel Montgomery totally rocks, but he can use some company.

BTW, I also watched “Destroyer”. I watch ALL the acting, screenplay and Best Picture nominees; including Best Foreign Films for GG, SAG, BAFTA, Film Independent Spirit Awards, Oscars and Gold Derby, before the award shows or announcement ✅

So glad that many of my ballot choices that got snubbed at the Oscars got in here, even if they weren't in first place, like Bradley Cooper for Best Director, Ethan Hawke for Best Actor, Crazy Rich Asians for Best Costume Design, Eighth Grade for Best Original Screenplay and Suspiria for Best Makeup & Hairstyling. However, I am sad to see Willem Dafoe (who was #1 on my Best Actor list) did not make the cut here.

I saw Border when it came out theatrically. Afterwards, instantly thought this would get a makeup & hairstyling nom.

Troye Sivan. I'm sad annihilation didn't get many nominations. I loved that film in so many ways. Toni Collette deserves it

*Please excuse me for GAGGING in response to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse getting nominated in Best Picture over both Isle of Dogs and the UNNOMINATED Night Is Short, Walk on Girl. What an utter travesty. >_<*

Down vote from me. No love for Bohemian Rhapsody (other than for actor). The Academy gave more love to BoRhap than whatever this is. It sounds like the Oscar predicting junkies who voted on this thing are overly influenced by the critics.
