I am looking for information on how to write JavaScript code that interacts with a database...filling JavaScript controls from database values, as well as saving data from a JavaScript window into a database. I want to be able to use MS Access during the development and testing process, because I don't want to spend a lot of money testing against a server-hosted database before I even know I'm on the right track.
I have accomplished this in the WPF/C#/accdb//Visual Studio 2015 environment, so I just want to be able to begin by creating the same app in html using JavaScript...but as I said, I have found absolutely nothing on the internet showing how to interact with databases from the html/JavaScript environment.
Web search for such information is getting very(!) tiresome. I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere!

Great Tutorial so far, but I really fail to see the usefulness of the anonymous functions, too much fiddling just to write three words in different formats, I know you're going to say the concept is good, but I still believe it's a lot of coding for what it returns. lol
