A treasure of American popular music and a basic pillar of Outlaw Country. Thank you

I love this song. I am 69 y.o. and when I was a little girl I use to make my dad sing this song to me over and over again. Just to hear the part, "Yippy aye yay, Yippy hi oh, Ghost riders in the sky"! I would become mesmerized! And my dad had a voice like Dean Martin. 😊

Damn son, you have got that Outlaw Country voice and I hope you travel down that path with your music. Keep doing it that way. There is enough bubble gum, pop, rockabilly country to choke a mule.
Great job with this song.

Lyrics:

An old cowboy went riding out
One dark and windy day
Upon a ridge he rested
As he went along his way

When all at once a mighty herd
Of red eyed cows he saw
Plowin' through the ragged skies
And up the cloudy draw

Their brands were still on fire
And their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny
And their hot breath he could feel

A bolt of fear went through him
As they thundered through the sky
For he saw the riders coming hard
And he heard their mournful cry

Yippie-yi-o
Yippie-yi-yay
Ghost riders in the sky

Their faces gaunt
Their eyes were blurred
Their shirts all soaked with sweat
He's riding hard to catch that herd
But he ain't caught 'em yet

'Cause they've got to ride forever
On that range up in the sky
On horses snorting fire
As they ride on, hear their cry

As the riders loped on by him
He heard one call his name
'If you wanna save your soul
From hell a-riding on our range

Then, cowboy, change your ways today
Or with us you will ride
Trying to catch the devil's herd
Across these endless skies

Yippie-yi-o
Yippie-yi-yay
Ghost riders in the sky

Ghost riders in the sky
Ghost riders in the sky

Christian I'm 70yr bass singer in a band. You have great voice and I'm learning your superb version of GRiTS. In most of the Johnny Cash covers you have done you are without doubt superior to JC; sacrilege I know, but that the way it is. Keep doing it and thanks.

This may be the best cover of 'Ghost Riders' I've every heard. So many artists try to 'improve' on it or showcase their voices. Me, I just want it sung straight up buy a great voice. Great job.

As a former member of the USAF 1st special operations wing! I had the privilege of being a weapons mechanic on the AC-130H Gunship! They were called Spectre! Ghost riders was the them song for the aircrew! The song is a fitting tribute to the fearsome gunship breathing it fire from her guns in the darkness of night! All those that were on the receiving end of her fire power were terrified when they heard the familiar sound of her engines but couldn't see her!!! Loved your version of this great song!

I am 54 years old and I have not been able to understand how to put so much strength and passion into a song like this. You have a great voice and that matches this song. Congratulations! 💪

I was a little Girl born in Argentina when I first heard this song! Loved it!
In 1963 we moved to America, legally… We had to wait 5 years to get all the paper work done. My dad came first to secure a job and brought us over when he had everthing in place.
We love America…
This song was how I
Identified the USA. High up in the sky… and yippee I a … was the feeling I had ….to be coming to this country so our family could be together again. America was our place to work and Dream. It still is….
God Bless the USA🇺🇸and God Bless you… for singing this song. My parents left Ukraine during the Stalin era and
Second war. They went through a lot…to give us a better life. They taught us personal values, the love of God and to live with Dignity, Hard Work and GRATITUDE! I am greatful today to have this moment with this song to go back to my childhood . Thank you! for such for such a nice Rendition.
Art and music have a way of doing that!❤
This month
will be 61 years since we arrived…🇺🇦🇦🇷🇺🇸
