we did literally sign up for it though. I use autopilot daily. I love it, removes stress of commuting. I will not go back to driving myself no thanks.

People with VESTED INTEREST under LAW is considered as " Un-Reliable or Rejected " as a SOURCE of evidence.

There is a billion cars on the road today. Not less than a million.
The guy makes software for autopilot software for multiple car companies including GM.
Most FSD drivers on YouTube posts the most difficult road / traffic you can find. Watching simple drives is boring.

His biggest conflict of interest is probably his work with mobileeye rather than his work with BMW Because that is direct competition to FSD

I'm not a big fan of FSD, but for completely different reasons than this ad suggests. I love driving and if I want someone else to drive, I call a DiDi (~Uber in China).
All ambitious new technologies take time to develop and perfect. Tesla is on its way and they will get there. Will it take a year, five years, or a decade, I have no idea, but they will get there eventually.
This ad is the absolute bottom of marketing efforts. Instead of promoting something positive, it tries to kneecap another company. I doubt that it will have the desired effect. It is too hostile and few people buy that kind of crap.
The scariest part of this is the possible connection to BMW's marketing department. Is BMW really this desperate? Maybe. Their strength has always been their mechanical engineering which has been the gold standard for decades and decades.
Now suddenly all that knowledge, investment in ICE production lines, and their reputation in the ICE market are more or less useless. They would have to re-invent themselves in a situation where Tesla and some others are way ahead of them.

looks like Tesla tested that guys operating system with the preliminary version of autopilot and dumped in the past.. I think Elon's calling it "a piece of trash" is not baseless... deterministic systems and obsession with real time OS's, was a trend in the past...it is suited for the weapon systems which has much little computing power and has to be flexible at the same time... neural networks are not deterministic and it is the only statistically reliable tool to solve many hardcore machine learning problems... this guy portrays a kind of dementia in his TV interview, looks like he doesn't even apprehend he could be in a situation of "conflict of interest".. that was pathetic...

Interesting to note. When Dan was interviewed on CNBC the next day, he said that he owns 3 Teslas. I am wondering why he analyzed YouTube videos instead of his cars. Could it be that his cars did not fail like in the videos? Just curious.

Riding the bus I heard people saying Green Hill software on a U.S. fighter jet had glitched (?) and killed the pilot. And some cars had driven into walls - cars that had Green Hill software.
