Steve Scalise withdraws from US House Speaker race

Republican Steve Scalise has dropped out of the race to become US House Speaker after the historic ousting of Kevin McCarthy.

After being narrowly nominated on Wednesday, House Republicans met behind closed doors to try to resolve divisions in the party.

The majority leader met separately with those opposed to him and scheduled a second members-only meeting.

However, he could not find a way to unite the party.

This leaves the Republican party in chaos and the House paralysed; it's unclear when another vote for speaker will be held.

Scalise withdraws becase he knows that We The People want a Speaker who has demonstrated a clear experience level to successfully undertake the peoples agenda to Clean House and Senate. Jim Jordan has that experience.

It’s not chaos - neither was the ouster of McCarthy nor the 15 round of votes it took to agree to the conditions of leadership. It’s the process of restoring a Constitutional Republic from the clutches of corruption and compromise of its founding principle that “We the People” have the right and the duty to limit government power to those functions assigned to it by our Constitution.
