Gonna throw my theory into the ring

So my guess is that Maddie throughout her life has been a second to Chris, Chris was favored by their dad and therefore most important in their parents eyes, leaving Maddie feeling neglected and a growing resentment towards their her parents, and eventually Chris (even though they were close when they were younger). But when Maddie finds out about the gun and everything Chris has been up to (the heists and the bakery) she is extremely scared, scared of the fact that it is a gun but mostly she is scared of what will happen to Chris, seeing Chris steal pastries in the pretty cant video. She then decides, that since she knows about the gun (through Chris peephole in his door) and that Chris doesn’t know that she peeped that she will try to prevent Chris from his thieving tendencies by taking his gun and hoodie and trying to do it for him, but as seen at the end of the pretty cant meme she is caught with the gun. I am guessing, that by the blood on Chris’ hoodie that she ended up having to use it, to presumably kill the security guard, also shown in the crime scene at the end of the happy face meme. I’m guessing that since footage of the crime scene appears to be committed by Chris, as Maddie was dressed up as him, that he was found guilty and then therefore kicked out of their home at a young age. This results in overwhelming grief for Maddie, feeling responsible for Chris being kicked out and the overall situation. This combined with the childhood neglect results in her awful mental state that is currently present in her reference sheet (after the first incident).

(Also not sure if this is correct, but at 0:16 Chris is seen wearing a shirt with a black and white striped undershirt, would this possibly be a nod to Maddie’s black and white shirt? Maybe it is hers, and he is still holding on to the memories of her and misses her, even though I’m not sure if Chris realizes that Maddie is responsible for his situation.

Wowww… I am literally stunned by this! You have an insane talent with not only animating of course, but the way you draw expressions and emotions is just absolutely phenomenal. Maddie on the toy horse was really well tweened! I think you did a really good job on this animation, well done I cant wait for more :) ❤

My theory-
During the scene with Maddie and Chris making cookies, I think it's a flashback from a few Years ago. Chris looks younger and happier than he does now.
Maddie is worried about Chris, which is why she looked scared when Chris showed the gun to her. The part where Chris gets locked out of the house might have been Maddie's thoughts when her parents find out about the heists.
Maddie looks up to Chris, since he's all she has.

Okay I love this animation. The foreshadowing with the gun, the cookies looking like the characters, the horse looking similar to Cody and Mel (I'm pretty sure) kicking Chris out of the house when she found out that he "killed" someone!

I also love the non-existent shaking of Chris's tail ;D (it's a shame that the shaking kept on crashing the software)

Quick emphasis of the 4 instances in this video, after that it just loops the same thing at least for another 2 times;

* *The baked biscuits at **0:06** may hint something concerning, not particularly sure why. The next is just them laughing.*

* *At **0:10**, seems to depict someone of significance to Maddie, somebody died in her arms - unclear if it is her brother or somebody unknown (don't have much knowledge of the past videos and can't be clear if any character from the past from the would perfectly align with the now "Crazed Heist" videos)*

* *At this point of **0:14**, Maddie seems in distress of due to the possession of gun within the hands of her brother and his friend, now it seems they are convincing her that it is a "toy gun" and to not to let this to be known to anyone.*

* *At **0:18**, reason is not clear as of now to why he got kicked out, either it can be traced back to the illicit crimes he committed that got him here, or the possession of gun that raised an alarm that brought a feeling of disgrace in her son. Context of the mother since the father died before he became an atrocious criminal.*
