You can calculate the value of the dollar by using the old system of silver. Back when silver used to be pegged 1:1 to the dollar. Now you can get one ounce of silver walking liberty to be specific for around $40 us dollars. Divide that by 100 and you get 2.5, hit the % and you get .025%. That is the current value left remaining in the US dollar, 2.5%. Once silver reaches 100 dollars only 1% will be left in value.
