How to play Skipbo: Card Games

Here's a fun one that I used to play all the time. Now my wife beats every time we play, so it's less fun....

I know I'm late but I really don't see what's so confusing to people, maybe that's just because I learned as a child who knows. You just draw to 5, play cards from your hand or top of your piles in the middle 4 piles in sequential order, with your stockpile taking priority over your hand, and your hand taking priority over your discard pile. Then you discard one card on top of any 4 of your discard piles, or draw 5 more cards if you play your whole hand before discarding.

There is a building deck where you place cards sequentially and a discard pile where sequence doesn’t matter? The color of the card doesn’t matter? Then why have different colors? I suppose most people consider this a simple game but to me it is confusing. Non of the YouTube videos that I have watched, including this one, has been able to convey to me a full understanding of the game.
