Another Doom Is Set For Release And Nintendo, It's Time To Remaster This Gamecube Game | News Wave

Over the weekend several Doom games were dropped on multiple platforms including the Nintendo Switch as surprise announcements. While those games made up the first three Doom games, there is still one other rating for a long forgotten about game in the series that appears to be on the way. On Twitter a certain hashtag managed to hit trending as fans asked Nintendo for a remaster of a Gamecube game to hit the Switch.

I never got to play Thousand Year Door, but my brother had a GameCube and loved the game. I've also heard nothing but positive things about the game, so I would love to finally play it.

If they remastered it and paper 64 I would pay full price. Straight up.

I would take a Thousand Year Door remaster on Switch, but I want that Metroid Prime Trilogy first. And then a Pikmin Trilogy soon after that. And I think we could all use a F-Zero GX remaster with online play. The Zelda game that should be getting released in September should be a Switch version of Wind Waker. Eternal Darkness deserves to live on. Man, the GameCube really was awesome.

Paper Mario TTYD is definitely that one game that I will never give away (plus I hear it's pretty valuable now) and a game that I can replay over and over again! I'd love to be able to play it on the go! Nintendo had to at least aknowledged our requests!

Hopefully Nintendo considers remastering TTYD, I for one was unable play it as back then as I was focused on other games. But in recent years I had been wanting to be able to play it but unable to find it.

And I hope that Bethesda not only fixes the DRM issue, but the other are other small issues on classic DOOM, such as being unable to zoom in or out the map, and being unable to select the fist if you got the chainsaw after a berserk pack. I also think that the lack of online coop is a missed opportunity and no Nazis in the Wolfenstein level doesn't make any sense. I am glad to be able to play the DOOM Trilogy on the go that alone is worth the price of admission since I already have these games on PC, but I hope they fix these minor issues on DOOM 1 and 2.

And I hoping for that DOOM 64 release on Switch. I already can play it on my PC with DOOM EX, or DOOM 64 Retribution, or even Brutal DOOM 64. But a official re-release of DOOM 64, on the go for my Switch can't be beaten.
