This troop of Langur Monkeys show empathetic behavior as they mourn what they think is a dead baby Langur. The seemingly lifeless juvenile is actually a robotic spy monkey, designed to film the primates.

five years later these same langurs build a human infant robot and haves the camera crew adopted and then the langurs shove the infant bot off the roof.

but it's just for observation.

As extraordinary as it is to witness this, to experiment with the emotions of animals is utterly manipulative and redundant. How many more "social experiments" and psychological manipulations will it take for the science community to understand that in general animals have emotional capacities like we do?
