Do you take aspirin?

Tell me in the comments below what your experience has been, I’ll be interested to know.

I have begun to take 'baby aspirin' as I find it prevents the numbness I often experience in my fingers.

Thank you. I have had a lot of extreme stressors in my life unfortunately, including a father and mother who sometimes didn't understand me. I believe this is a good part of why I have heart disease now in only my 40's.

I tried aspirin for a month on recommendation of a cardiologist, but I decided medicines are not for me. I would rather change my lifestyle than take medicines all my life. Even small bumps would give me black bruises on the skin. If I had known this I would never have started taking medicines. It’s more ideological/philosophical for me. I want to be in control rather than a medicine control if I get a bruise on my skin or not. Blood thinning using garlic/ginger/turmeric/cummin seeds on the other hand have no side effects. It all started with angina symptoms 4 years ago. 2 years ago I go diagnosed formally by cardiologist. I am still living after two years, means my natural therapy is working so far without the side effects. I tried all the four medicines taught in A level biology, I.e. aspirin, nitrates, statins, and beta blockers. I had them for a month and they are not for me. I didn’t feel in control of myself, whereas when I do the same things using natural foods like green leafy vegetables for nitrates. Anti inflammatory plant based whole foods diet for Statins, I feel more in control. Don’t have to go to Doctors and pharmacists etc. And most importantly zero side effects. I follow Dr Esselstyn plant based whole foods diet and no medicines. Food is my medicine and nature is the cure. Medicines dont’ cure they just subdue symptoms and cause side effects. Good luck to those who want to follow cardiologists, but having control of myself is more important to me. The diet is tough but I have taken a pledge as guided to Dr Esselstyn no to take single drop of anything that would damage my endothelial. I don’t have Angina symptoms anymore and am able enjoy life with active walks and sports as I hoped I would at 50 years. I can even occasionally beat my 19 year old son at sports

In 1897, Felix Hoffman, a German chemist working for the Bayer company, was able to modify salicylic acid to create acetylsalicylic acid, which was named aspirin

I take 75mg prescription aspirin after a bypass surgery due to atherosclerosis. How do you weigh the side effects of aspirin against the blood thinning benefits for long term use. What are your views about natural substitutes such as Omega 3s, Cumin Seeds, Garlic, Ginger etc.
