Are tech support scammers smart enough to notice a 20+ year old version of windows? Would they hang up right away or keep trying to scam me even though their script won't work?

I love how he struggled to open DOS, and when you finally opened it for him, without telling him. Making him think he did it himself, he then with such confidence typed netstat twice, not understanding why it doesnt work.

You should have bottle necked the connection and constantly slowed it down too to make it look like it was a bad dial up connection so their computer keeps hanging.

I loved your conversation that you had with the scammer at the beginning, asking him if he was doing community service. Are used to work for a call-center and I’ll never forget a lady who called up when I had taken care of her order and everything got to the end just about to let her go. She said you’re the kindest inmate I have ever spoken to. So I questioned her on that I had no idea that they used to use prisoners to do customer service work.
