It was good to see you so much this weekend. You had a great race. And a lot of this race translates well to Boston

The longform stuff is the best! Keep cranking!

I appreciate the Gem you stated. When you are forced to slow down, you aren't running as slow as your mind thinks. Your mind makes you think your race is shot and you are almost walking. But you look back and only slowed a bit. JUST KEEP RUNNING if you can. I have had this happen multiple times.

Thanks for all the info. Hitting CIM as my first marathon and this is great to see. Much appreciated and nice work on your race. Impressive for sure!

I was on pace for a PR at CIM this year, but injured my foot at mile 8. At times I wanted to give up and DNF but I pushed myself to the finish line. Sometimes the result you get isn’t the one you want but it’s just as impactful. It taught me that I’m tougher than I thought I was and I’m proud I finished regardless of the pain I was enduring. I’m glad you’re proud of your effort. It’s so easy to give up but you chose the hard road and that’s what matters.

Congratulations on the Coros sponsor and becoming a BPN athlete! I really hope you'll be able to get to a place where you can do this full time.

I'm getting ready to run my first marathon in January after running my first half last year. Even though I'm only shooting for a sub 4:30 finish, your videos are incredibly inspiring and they keep me motivated to continue my journey. Thanks for doing what you do!

Love the CIM breakdown and already looking forward to the Boston marathon series!
I have the coros pace 2, I've had it for about a year now and really like the data it provides. The heartrate tracking is great, you can see exactly where your threshold is and know what you can sustain for any given distance.

Your videos are fabulous man.... Love to watch and your running helped me choose the pace 3 (which I love even though my race prediction times never change no matter what I do!!).

Best of luck for 2024 you are a motivator ❤

Brover! You say you don’t do enough strength work but your mind has caught a perma-pump. Spray tan that brain because you could walk the stage. This video had so many great insights to the mental traps that await around every painful corner. Thanks for the candid feelings as well. Cheers to a coach. One less thing to have to think about . Show up, hit the splits, trust.

Thanks so much for all the race details. I’ve always appreciated that you share things such as your food plan, what race morning was like, and even how many times you went no.2 cause it helps us understand others also go through the same on long runs/race day. Really awesome videos. Thanks.

I know they’re not the same course, but I think this was a great learning lesson heading into Boston. The hills and rollers add up over time if you haven’t trained for it or are used to the likes of Chicago or Indy. Get those quads beefy!

Prob said this before here or another channel but just saying i REALLY appreciate these long reflections on your training block and race because it offers so much even for a very much back of the pack runner. I wish more runners of all paces did it! Ty Eric!

Really thankful for your honesty with running, and all that goes into it. I am signed up for my first ever half marathon in March and I know it will be hard. Although, watching you helps me better prepare! Thank you!

It’s funny how all of you influencers talk about running for yourselves and your goals, as you all should, obviously, but the actual influence and inspiration you provide all of us “normal folk” can’t be realized. You literally make thousands of people think “man, if he can do better, I can do better.” You’re literally changing people’s lives with what you guys do. I know you’ve changed mine, and for that, I thank you.

Cannot wait to see you conquer Boston! I'm usually watching just past the crest of Heartbreak Hill

Love the video! I took the course one mile at a time. I also knew that everyone’s GPS would trigger before each mile marker so I ignored the watch on distance and just kept looking at time per lap and pace per lap. Anyways CIM is a perfect prep for Boston as you will face similar rollers. Good luck and congratulations! Love your videos, I never put this much effort into mine and I wish I did.
