I would recommend paying annually, I found the best time to buy/try a tool is the Black Friday Sale in November. I saved a ton of money last year on my everyday tools last year. I use Affinity suite and Place-it more than anything.

Not many people know this, but Photoshop has it's own image upscaler. Not as good as paid for online services, but for upscaling/selling AI clipart, it's perfect. And when you can create a Photoshop batch task to update a folder of images automatically, it's a game changer.

Good video!! And yes, tools are great and also finding the right tools for the person and the occasion is a huge help! Little question and stuff... Linktree, I use it for free, never seen the need to pay for some extra features. PlaceIt, using only canva and they have really upped their game with mockups, photo editing and more. Sure, they are not the best but they are so diverse and improving rapidly so for me they are the best tool for making designs and other things. Wish I could use them to edit my videos too :D I would LOVE that. I do shorts and little "cartoons" and stuff, but still waiting for it to be able to edit longer videos in. As for making designs I now mostly paint and draw my own designs by hand and scan it, upload to canva and do editing and changes. However, what I really need to get better at is research and not just "make and post". I am also really curious about AI and like it and see so many fun things to use it for. But life is kind of kicking me pretty hard right now so I haven't really had time to sit and play with all the tools and fun things that are just exploding with AI now. But it's on my todo-list. Heard a lot of Kittle but haven't really checked it out yet.

I use gimp, but think the AI sort of is getting bad raps, but it could be artist and writers saying no don't use them. Plus, saying that KDP some people had their AI made books canceled. But I found out with grammarly they can check it for plagiarism. Which I use that tool to check anything that is for a story so KDP doesn't come back saying you were doing plagiarism. However found it better to add more to the story to give it a more better look.

Shimmy - Awesome overview! Specific to PlaceIt, how do you overcome them not having the style or color for t-shirts that you want to sell POD?

Thanks for this honest review of tools. I use Chat GPT but it doesn't cost me anything, why do you pay for it? I have Kittl, I paid for a year but won't be renewing when it expires. It is awesome and has helped me get started with ideas, but I feel more satisfied doing my designs in Affinity Designer where I feel more in control of the source files and scaling my work.

When you say that an app is 'made for POD' like Kittl, what do you mean? What makes it good for POD specifically? I use Canva Pro and I'm wondering what Kittl can do that Canva Pro can't. 🤔

Morris, I am very new to the print-on-demand business. I have been working very hard for almost two months. But to date, I have not received even one order. I come from a very poor family in India. As a result, I do not have the ability to invest several hundred dollars. What can I do to continue this business? Please give me the proper guide to doing this business. Surajit Dutta, India.
