Only China and Rwanda are smart enough to copy Singaporean model. No freedom of speech, press and public assembly. Safer, cleaner and more efficient than HK. Modern china won’t exist today if not because of Lee Kuan Yew and Deng Xiao Ping. Lee pragmatism decoupled capitalism from democracy and mixes socialism with capitalism which is one of the big key of success. One example, Singapore has one of the most expensive properties (capitalism) in the region yet home ownership rate is so high and most people live in public housing (socialism). In the west public housing is a hood, meanwhile in Singapore public housing is very very well maintained and desirable.
Deng was very surprised first time visiting Singapore. A rich and successful Chinese majority nation and uses Singapore as a model and implement it on larger scale. Deng had great respect of lee kuan yew. Thank you LKY. Thank you DXP. Two of the greatest Chinese thinker of our times.

Thank you for sharing the video. I am fortunate to have visited Singapore on various occasions on my travels to Beijing and Seoul. One can walk the streets of Singapore at any time during day or night and feel perfectly safe. It is also a very clean city... a remarkable successful country. I wish South Africa could emulate Singapore.
