i tried this on a music store while i m waiting for my sis paying on the counter..i been playing for a while when i look at my back some people start stopping by to listen..they giving me looks like "oh she very talented"..i got shy and stop playing and they look disapointed..haha if only they knew..

From a music theory standpoint, by playing black keys only, you are playing pentatonic notes in the key of G flat major or E flat minor (F sharp major or D sharp minor). By sticking to the black keys, it is impossible to go off-key. :-) It actually makes perfect musical sense. He talks about it having an "Oriental feel" and it's true. This is because the pentatonic scale is very typical of Oriental music. In the key of C major, the notes of the pentatonic scale would be C, D, E, G and A. In the key of F sharp, which he is in, the pentatonic notes are F#, G#, A#, C# and D#. These notes (F#, G#, A#, C# and D#) are played by black keys only.

How to play _real music_ without knowing how to actually play it:
1. Put your hand on the keyboard. Black keys or white keys don't matter.
2. Spread your fingers about 5 cm apart.
3. Make sure your thumbs are lined up together.
4. With confidence, press firmly onto the space bar and the music should start playing.

There's actually a good reason it sounded oriental.  Chinese music uses a pentatonic system, which means they only have 5 notes per octave, and since there are only 5 black keys per octave, you're pretty much just simulating that.
