Nintendo NX Delayed? Will it Happen? - Discussion

Nintendo continues their silence on their next gaming machine, code named Nintendo NX. Will NX be delayed beyond March 2017? Here are my thoughts...

They should have never hyped up the nx as much as they are. that's the problem.

New 3DS was 1st revealed in August in a Japanese Direct, launched 2 months later in Japan. While in America and Europe only a month time was the difference between announcement and release date.

The Wii U did come down in price, it sells for $300. Still too expensive imo.

If you're predicting that the NX will be launched in early summer of 2017 then it has to be announced in either November or early December to grow the hype from, both, third party developers and casual/hardcore fans. Having the NX be revealed in January if it were targeted at a May/June release would be just as bad as announcing it in October if it were to launch in March of next year. January would be a great time to reveal some of the first first-party software to launch alongside the NX with more titles from Nintendo and developers being announced soon thereafter.

If the NX is delayed, I'm curious on if they will delay the WiiU version of Breath of the Wild (again). Frankly it kind of just feels that Nintendo has only been killing the hype of all their products since E3.

Sadly a delay is entirely possible, I know people keep saying October but it feels like every time we don't see the NX people latch on to any rumors they can find. If it isn't revealed by October then I have a feeling that there's probably a delay, it's just very odd that Nintendo hasn't said a peep about the NX or even hinted at its reveal.

I don't get it... no one from Nintendo ever said September 2016 announcement... they said we would hear something in the Fall of 2016. So why don't we all just wait and see? Fall starts on September 22nd and runs to almost Christmas, so we've only just crossed into it.

i recall when people could not find wiis.. I sold mine for 2x more then found one like a week later used at gamestop..
