Great video. I wanted to add that you might be confused if you also run an extrude cut past this new surface (think if you wanted to drill a hole through that cylinder). The cut might seem like it didn't cut through the surface, however it's just the newly knitted surface being displayed that makes it seem so. Right click and hide it and you'll see that the extrude cut you made went right through without issues.

In this case the End condition "up to next" or "up to body" would probably also work without the need for the 'knit' feature. But thank you for the content i didn't knew the 'knit' feature yet.

Thanks a lot, I've been struggling with this one for some time!

Very helpful. I wasted a lot of time on this and trying to do combine (subtract) and split... but unsatisfactory.

Can you also tell me if I have a cylinder and I want a wall to go THROUGH the cylinder (but not inside the cylinder itself). The best idea is to split it after making it go through the cylinder?

Great info, but now when I try to cut through the knit surface, it won't. Any thoughts?

From the drop down tree, surface knit is grayed out. It is not suppressed. How do I fix it?
