Agreed, what happened in Canada with the alternative parties is that the politics became hard to control by big money. The popularity with the left started to influence the other parties. For the parties to go after the votes of the left parties both the Liberals and Conservatives had to modify their policies to be more appealing to the left voters. It really fuelled a swing towards the left type policies.

How much as the EU damaged the greek productive sectors (farming, industry, etc). I am portuguese and the reason of our troubles has been the constant destruction of our productive sectors. First we lost industries like shipbuilding to northern Europe and farming production in areas like cereals and potatoes to them. Then the EU opened the markets to others so we lost our textile industry and specialised (southern climates) productions that had survived the north. The result is insolvency.

In a democracy people have their rights.A basic right is to live without being threatened and/or harmed. Noone is saying about starting a war but it's unacceptable not to contribute in rebuilding what you destroyed.And since Germany never could rebuild a single village they destroyed, at least an apology and support towards united EU would be enough. Instead they just prefer insulting all the Southern EU countries.I also bet if you had your kid in Greece you wouldn't want the country to bankrupt

The huge difference between North Corea(communist system) and South Corea(capitalistic system) can not be more emphatic.The system is good, it's just ignorance that make people not use it properly. We have to fix the system, not change it to a worse one

Italian courts dealt with a massacre, I have no problem to deal with individual cases and bring them to justice, no problem, Poland did that to Russian gov.
But, try to blame current Greek situation on lack of ww2 compensations, or use reparation on a "new deal" with EU today is just wrong.
in June GR have new election, history is made, I believe you will be out of euro soon after. Then it really gets interesting to watch, which way will Greece go, free market or socialism ?

So according to you the EU isn't consisted of free countries?I don't understand you.You didn't really read what I wrote, you just repeat the same thing.Anyway, 1st of all you have to understand that the WWII victims have the right to seek their rights whether you like it or not. 2nd, Greece CAN'T declare bankruptsy or the banks will start confiscating Greek assets e.g. gold, rights to ports or even islands as some German politicians boldly suggested.That's unacceptable for Greeks, end of story

BUT, those issues, Greek politicians should've resolved after the ww2 in 40 and 50s. To open dicusion in 2012 about ww2 reparations, it's like "pandora's box", just look at Poland, or baltic states or Czechs, or half of Europe. I believe, you make situation, and ground for new conflicts in Europe. No one wants that, world have to put 1945 behind and move on.

No one will give you any money ! You have to earned money, you have start produce and manufacture goods, you have be productive and innovate. You should create new drahma (sound money). and your economy should be attractive place to invest.
You should liquidate your loans (go bankrupt) and Greece should start fresh with market economy!
