Which Is The Best Canned Fish (Tuna or Salmon)?

Canned tuna vs canned salmon!

Which should you choose?

My recommendation is to go for canned wild salmon.

The biggest reason is that tuna is more likely to contain mercury.

In most instances, it’s a particular type of mercury called methyl mercury.

Methyl mercury is a neurotoxin that can stay in your brain for up to 20 years.

Although both contain a similar amount of protein, salmon contains more Vitamin D and Zinc than tuna, and also has higher levels of Omega 3 healthy fats.

I love canned salmon but that makes me so sad about the tuna. Thanks for the information on this one

Selenium also attaches to mercury and then you release it. In value sardine or herring is probably best choice. Salmon definitely taste better than all 3 though.
