I started fishing the Sluggo in the early 90’s and still have a few bags of them. It has always amazed me how sensitive these lures are to not being rigged right. Off just a bit they go in circles or pop outta the water but you get them right and you get the perfect down left right left right. Can drive you insane trying to figure it out

that's a "super" one though what about the normal ones? the super ones are much easier to rig up than the normal sized ones.

I quit using EWG hooks on a fluke! Too many big fish lost! Started using a 4/0 Owner screw lock hooks and no more lost fish! I also use the weighted version when fish are more bottom oriented and done well!

I hooked em like that for many years but recently I just hook it right through the head. I have no clue why. but it works. seem to hook them perfect in the top of the lip every time too. it's not weedless anymore but hey. if I'm catching them I can deal with a few snags
