Let's try Holbein Acryla Gouache (acrylic gouache review)

Hello everyone and welcome to the video, I’m very excited because today I am going to be trying Holbein Acrylic Gouache. I have been wanting to try this for years but have never bit the bullet and invested in some. I have used acrylic paint and traditional gouache a lot over the years so I am curious to see the differences and similarities in these paints.

For the demo I am painting a complementary piece to a painting I created using traditional gouache called (night grove). I wanted to paint something similar so I could get to know these paints and see the differences when working in a way I am familiar with.

I also used some acrylic ink and black watercolour paper by stone henge (cold press)

The colours I am trying are from the starter set of 18 20ml tubes as well as some additional colours I purchased. The full list of colours includes, Burnt Sienna, Carmine, Cerulean Blue, Cobalt Blue, Deep Yellow, Green, Jet Black, Lemon Yellow, Light Green, Magenta, Navy Blue, Orange, Scarlet, Titanium White, Ultramarine Deep, Violet, Viridian, Yellow Ochre, Ash Rose, Ash Yellow, Beige, Raw Umber and Coral Red

Since I’m more of a sustainable kind of artist, I’d be more into traditional gouache, do they mix together as well as these acrylic gouache?

Thanks for the review. Loved the atmospheric paintings! I wonder if mixing Matt medium with ordinary gouache would prevent it from lifting so easily?
