Finding Freedom In Forgiveness [Part One]

On Sunday, Pastor Megan kicked off part one of our new message series, "Finding Freedom In Forgiveness." While people often approach forgiveness as if it's a feeling, the fact is it's a choice and as followers of Jesus, we are to freely give forgiveness just as we've freely received it. As we walk in grace towards others, we find that more than freeing the offender from their mistakes, forgiveness frees us from the weight of carrying the offense.

Jesus died not only to liberate us individually, but also to create for Himself a redeemed people who in turn give grace that leads others to find the same freedom available in the Savior. At the end of the day, we have to ask ourselves this vitally important question—"Are the people close to us more likely to know what God has done for us, or what people have done to us?" Let's determine to live our lives in such a way that the world can see God's grace shining brightly in even our darkest moments!
