Thank you for sharing your story, and allowing us to see your surgery, and then the devastation of finding out, that the Cancer was not done with you, quite yet. I am surviving Stage IV Colorectal Cancer, and I 100% agree with your statement "I'm not afraid of dying. The problem with my dying would be the affect on the people left behind" In my case, my children and husband - mostly my children, though. Hi my hubby had stage 4 cancer in the same area he had his jaw cheek bone and roof of his mouth removed he did not need any radio we are still here 2 years later he is fantastic

I had stage 4 head and neck cancer, no operation, the tumour was too close to my brain, and it took years to get over the toxic treatment, i couldn't eat for 3 years, fed by a tube, saliva glands dont survive, it's a real hard journey.
Now, 16 years clear of cancer, good luck to anyone starting that journey, though i suspect that the treatment might be better now.

My grandfather had this same cancer from smoking cigars for like 60 years. He had it removed when he was 80 and radiation therapy in his face and jaw and neck. He is now 94 and it never came back, and it had spread to his lymph nodes.
