"Synthesis of ATP" shows how the proton gradient across the mitochondrial membrane powers the ATP synthase enzyme to make ATP.

These animations bring to life the molecular engines inside mitochondria that generate ATP, the main source of chemically stored energy used throughout the body.

Our cells are really basically some complex machines made of many "simple" machines. It is really interesting to see, that not all action on a molecular level comes from chemical reactions, but from mechanics as we know it from our macro world as well. Great animation!
