When I was 14 years old, I had alot of trouble concentrating in school and I was mentally hyperactive. This made schoolwork a challenge and while my teachers said that I was very intelligent, I was unable to sit still for more than 60 seconds at a time, if that long (my father is the same way). Although I am from a Christian home, my father took me to see an old friend of his who had studied transcendental meditation for many years in India (where some of my mother's ancestors are from). This man taught me deep meditation and it helped me alot. I have been meditating now for 30 years. I am a big history and culture buff but I had not heard much about Tibetan Singing Bowls until fairly recently when I found these on YouTube. I must say, these gentle sounds do so much to relax me! As a teenager I was ridiculed because I was a Christian who used Buddhist meditation but as my father said: when it comes to keeping the mind and body at peace, whatever works will do regardless. I saved this video in my account and I play it at night to help me sleep and I also play when I am writing (I am a part-time writer and poet when I am not teaching). Thank you so much for this.
