🔗 Verbs with Fixed Prepositions
Some German verbs always come with specific prepositions and those prepositions often decide which case follows. It’s confusing, unless you have a cheat sheet. 😅

That’s why I made a free list of fixed prepositions with their verbs and required cases, so you can stop second-guessing and start using them naturally.

This is really really helpful. Not sure why this hasn't got more views. Danke

This is our lesson for tonight and I've never heard of 2-way prepositions. The last time I hadn't heard of something, hadn't been introduced to it before the class started, the teacher yelled at the class for an hour and he yelled at me personally.
No teacher has ever yelled at me personally. I got mostly good grades and no teacher yelled at me, not even in 9th grade when I was taking a class so hard I vowed I'd never in a million years be involved with a Physicist (It was Introduction to Physical Science, IPS for short); and I married a Physicist but it didn't work out. Obviously. He thought almost nobody understood him.
Anyway, I decided to watch videos beforehand, lest I be yelled at. Someone who's never been yelled at by a teacher (then given a bad report on the class evaluation form) will do anything to prevent it from happening again.

I have a question about 'vor.' Why do you use it when you want to say 'ago?' As in Six months ago, I started taking German courses. I thought I was supposed to say "Seit 6 Monaten lerne ich deutsch" but this teacher wanted me to say "Vor 6 Monate... meaning Six months ago... and I've already forgotten the simple past for "started taking German.."
