WHICH CALLAWAY GOLF BALL IS RIGHT FOR ME?

Callaway’s golf ball line-up is packed with high-performance models but you might be confused as to which one will be the right fit for your game.

The Chrome Soft X and Chrome Soft X LS are Callaway’s out-and-out tour golf balls, trusted by the likes of Jon Rahm, Xander Schauffele and Phil Mickelson.

The Chrome Soft, with its urethane cover, offers tour-quality control and short game spin for the masses. Plus, each Chrome Soft model comes in at a more affordable price than many other premium golf ball offerings.

The ERC Soft is and advanced three-piece construction that is somewhat of a jack-of-all-trades. Built for long distance with soft feel, a new ‘Hybrid Cover’ made with a PARALOID Impact Modifier helps to enhance its short game performance.

Finally, the Supersoft delivers that incredibly ‘mushy’ soft feel at impact that so many golfers love. It also offers brilliant distance and is a great option for the price conscious golfer.

Watch the video to find out everything you need to know about these golf balls and find out which one you should be sticking in your bag.

I played a pink Callaway Chrome soft Truvis for 29 holes before I lost it, haha. It was the first time I tried a Callaway so it was a revelation for me. So nice feel with the wedges and I got a nice spin with the 9, 8, 7 irons. Flew just as long as any other ball with the driver.

It's interesting to hear the host try to present the data from the 7-iron and driver being much different between the balls tested. It was 2-3 yards and the same window with the iron and 7 yards with the driver. I'd bet for 80% of the golfers, they would shoot identical scores with the Supersoft or Chrome Soft. Most aren't able to control their spin enough to take advantage of premium balls. The ERC and Supersofts have quietly become very good balls. A long way from the old two piece rocks of years gone by. (or the Warbird).

clubhead speed being slower with ERC really hurt the distance for the ERC

I’ve been playing the Maxfli TourX 4 piece balls for a while, my swing speed with driver is about 102-105. Recently played a few sleeves of orange supersofts for fun and I swear to god they’re a full 15+ yards hotter off all my clubs. Perfect because I can club down right? Well no, even though clubbing down results in a steeper descent angle, I find it way harder to hold greens with them. They just don’t spin and the lack of urethane cover is very noticeable.

I would of liked to see the Callaway Warbird ball in your line up and what the numbers are when you are hitting the lower swing speeds with the results showing the performance gains and losses if there's as much difference between them.

Would have been nice to see numbers for 90mph driver clubhead as well. I'm 94 with driver and 10.6 hcap. Longtime ProV1x user, but at my driver fitting in April, the fitter recommended Chromesoft X for summer and Chromesoft for winter so I'm trying them out. I've enjoyed the X and also use the triple track to help with alignment (putter fitting showed up some issues even with corrective lenses). I might have to try a Supersoft and see if the comments about being better for lower swing speeds match the results (and save me some $).

Your forgetting that most people watching these videos swing 85-90 mph. This information is worthless to me. Thumbs down.
