I met Les Severs in the 1970's at a place in Levittown, PA called Big Daddy's on a Saturday night when his band was playing there. A friend of mine introduced me, telling Les Severs that I was a local singer-guitarist and was pretty good. He was very generous, and asked me if I would like to play with his band. I said I didn't have my guitar with me, but he insisted and told me to take his guitar. He left the stage and told me to play as long as I wanted. I had a great time with his band and Les spent the half hour I sang and played enjoying his break dancing. He really was a great guy and encouraged me to look for a record contract. Very generous man. thank you Les Severs! Thanks for a great memory. LES MARTIN
