This level is a nightmare if you didn't know you could do the ion cannon thing. Rogue Squadron did probably the best job in any star wars cannon of making the Star destroyers seem actually intimidating. SO MANY GUNS

Good god. the Star destroyer is VERY aggressive in this mission.

I like how you can destroy the Star Destroyer BEFORE the Razor is even inside of it. They should've worked out some kind of bonus for that where if you can accomplish that you can skip the Vengeance On Kothlis level.

There’s absolutely no way to get close enough to the shields without the guns melting you. This mission was insane.

Youre telling me after all these years of juggling those guns, babysitting the Redemption, taking out one sheild generator at a time, the frigate, and then the command deck. I couldve just used the ion cannon and a couple torps and beaten this mission in less than 3 minutes?
Well THAT makes thing so much easier!

Ah, the Shadows of the Empire multimedia project. Sure love playing this, the SotE game, TIE Fighter, and X-Wing Alliance, all while reading the SotE novel and the SotE comics and its Evolution sequel, for the very reason of seeing the whole saga of what happened between Ep. V and Ep. VI.

the irony of how fast you won this mission, was that the razor took around 2-3 minuntes to actually be pulled 'into' the star destroyer... you legit finished this mission before that could happen, so in all practicality you didn't even need to go to the next mission...

also mind blown i never knew you could do that with the ion cannon, i spent like 10 minutes strafing the shield generators over and over and losing so many lives...

I like to use the Y-Wing for this mission and go Rouge One Bomning-Run-Style on the SD. Works pretty well too.

I would spend too much time crippling all the guns and ion cannons on the Star Destroyer to make the next level a little easier. Thus I never got a gold on this level.

I used to love kamakazie killing the death star in this mission. Just fly my B-wing at top speed into the main deck. It literally completes the level.
