Bats are not good pets, for many reasons. One major reason is that they are social animals - they need other bats around, and one or two other pet bats won't be enough.

They are marvelous animals though, and if you want to be around bats and be able to interact with them, there are wildlife rescue operations that help to care for injured bats, helping them to heal so that they can be released back into the wild.
