1. Skipped crawling
2. Low muscle tone
3. Poor coordination

If your child has 1 or more of these, it might help to check their primitive reflexes!
.
What are primitive reflexes?
We are all born with primitive reflexes.
They are stereotypical, unconscious movement patterns that help keep an infant alive and help them progress through development.
.
What does it mean to have retained primitive reflexes?
Primitive reflexes should integrate, or mature, and make way for more complex movement patterns as the child grows.
If the primitive reflexes gets stuck, we call them retained.
This can cause challenges in development and cognition because the brain is operating from a lower brain stem level.
.
What do you do if your child's primitive reflexes are retained?
Find a trained therapist who can test for permitted reflexes and create an integration program.
If this isn't available to you, check out our digital course where we teach you how to test and integrate retained primitive reflexes.
