Few quick thoughts on who makes the best flat flashlight. If all your are looking for is lumens and beam distance specs look elsewhere.

Love the EDC27, rarely touch my Arkfeld Pro. Great output and sustainable. Love the UI and don't have any issues using it except kinda hard to get out of lockout quickly. Don't find the buttons sensitive and it has 2 different lockouts. I leave the mode switch locked out. I can still use turbo and strobe for signaling, I have no issues with accidental activation.
It's also the only dual TIR light in 5050 footprint with an efficient boost or buck driver. I modded mine with a tint mix 3500/6500 in high CRI. The TIR mixes the two temps to a very pleasing 4300k that's high CRI and well below black body line. The EDC27 is now one of my favorite and most used lights. It also has the highest quality light once modded out of any light I've seen except maybe an E21 tint mix. I think it's a sweet light.

I'd like to see your thoughts on the new EDC25. Cheaper, simpler, and no dumb screen or stupid half press strobe/turbo bs.

Depends on what you need. Been carrying the EDC 27 for months for personal defense non-lethal back-up option with easy-to-employ strobe. Interface is easy to get used to and I keep on lock 1 mode to prevent accidental activation, as this version is without a proximity sensor. You have to put up with a short delay for regular use which is an inconvenience but not a deal-breaker for me.

I just carry a Streamlight Protac 2.0. Is it big and bulky? Yes, but I also EDC a full size handgun with 2 spare mags and a fixed blade knife. All concealed on my person. I also like it because it lights up an entire field at night time.

The only thing sith the edc27 is the fact that its getting super hot, and the size for a standard pocket. Besides that its a great (and easy straight) light. Its your choice but those 4 lights presenting are 4 completly diffrent parametres and for me depending on the situation one is better than the other. (I wiuld choose the edc27 anyday..)

Not a fan of the EDC. I've had two. Both have burned a hole in two pants. And melted the lenses. I had to scrape off the char.
The wedge straight up melted a hole in the lens in my pocket.
I'm testing out the Rovyvon E30 Pro right now. Only two days in but I'm pretty happy with it, so far. It has a proximity sensor so that will prevent my pants being lit on fire. Which can be turned off if you want, I'm definitely keeping it on.
I threw the EDC in my camping bag since I do like it but not for edc ironically.

I have an Arkfield I use at work and like it overall
Hate the pocket clip/ grabs stuff if you get to close. Had to bend back into shape several times

I’ve had the EDC 27 for at least a year and it’s a great light. It’s not confusing or sensitive at all. It’s got great lockout modes that are very straightforward. I don’t care for the proprietary nature of the Olight and the need to carry around an extra charging cable.
